Policies of Payment

  • The entire monthly tuition is required to be paid ahead of time on the first lesson of each month.

  • When you pay the monthly tuition, your specific time-slot is reserved for that month. No one else can take this time-slot from you, even if you don’t show up. However, if you do not show up to your lesson at the specified time, you will not receive a refund, and you will not receive a “makeup lesson.” Webcam lessons can be arranged to take advantage of your reserved time if you’re not able to attend in person. Overall, it’s best to think of lessons as a subscription, in that you are charged the same per month regardless of how many lessons you actually use.

  • 5th lesson days, which occur 4 times per year, are included in the monthly price.

  • If your very first lesson lands in the middle of a month, your tuition for the remainder of that month will be reduced/prorated, depending on how many lesson days are left in that month. You can calculate this prorated amount by dividing the regular monthly tuition by 4.33 and rounding to the nearest whole number, then multiplying this amount by the number of lesson weeks remaining in that month (or I can do this for you).

  • If you go on vacation for 2-5 weeks in a row (yielding 2-5 consecutive missed lesson-weeks), I offer a discounted rate to keep your timeslot reserved. To calculate this rate, take your monthly tuition and divide it by 4.33. Then, for each lesson-week you will miss due to vacation, reduce your regular monthly amount by that half of that number (or I can do this for you).

  • I currently accept cash, check (written to Erik Williams), Zelle, and Popmoney.
